July 1 free agent frenzy.


All right guys this year for thr Free Agency period whe're gonna try something new. this year we plan on introducing RFA ( Restricted Free Agents ). for all of you who have players who are 25 years of age and younger and their contracts are about to expire dont worry. we will be making a new forum called Restricted Free Agents in this forum all teams will be able to offer players of 25 years of age a contract. but the thing is that if you do sign a player from another team who is a RFA then you have to pay the price. lets say im and i want to get Miika Kiprusoff and hes a RFA if Kiprusoffaccepts my offer then i must give some draft picks. the draft picks depend on the skill of the player. if Kiprusoffhad an overal of 69 or lower i would have to give a 3rd round draft pick. if Phaneuf had an overall of 70-77 then i would have to give a 2nd round draft pick. if Phaneuf had an overall of 78-82 then i would have to give a 1st round draft pick and finally if Phaneuf had an overall of 83+ then i would have to give a 1st and a second
